David Benjamin Gruenbaum is a composer, singer, and pianist. In the mid-80’s his song, Dancing on the Wire, became an underground hit in the Midwest. Dancing on the Wire has now resurfaced on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeRBdtpOSRc
In addition, Dancing on the Wire has achieved a cult following on Discogs and the single is now selling for as much as $100 a copy!
Gruenbaum’s tribute and thank-you to firefighter, Smoke Soldiers, has gained national recognition both from firefighters and the general public. At www.smokesoldiers.org, fans can see the YouTube video, see the Fox News interview, and buy t-shirts and hoodies. All profits go to Toys for Kids, the Santa Rosa firefighters’ union charity.
